FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based and where will you travel?

I am based in Bristol and London, and am happy to travel globally.

How much do you charge?

My fee depends on a variety of factors, including when and where your wedding is. Click ‘Contact’ below and send me a message for a quotation.

Will there be a consultation?

Before your day, we can talk as much as you like about your wishes for your video. I will ask you in-depth questions about the different options and approaches I can take when shooting, making sure to cover the things that are most important to you. We can also discuss different ideas for the music and other aspects of the editing process. I will be happy to take your calls as any new questions arise.

The goal of the creative process is to combine your own personality and wishes with my own artistic eye, technical expertise and experience.

Is your shooting method intrusive?

One of my chief objectives through the day is to cause as little intrusion as possible. To do this, I use zoom lenses and shoot from as far away as possible, and I also use mufflers to minimise camera noise. During the ceremony, I generally shadow the movements of the other photographer (if there is one), once again minimising intrusion.

Additionally, for the purposes of the video, I work as a one-man team using one camera, causing much less intrusion than a multi-member video crew with multiple (often large) cameras. Also, no continuous lighting sources are ever used.

I find that ‘intrusion’ is a matter of much more than simply trying to be invisible. I am naturally very friendly and put my subjects at ease, so if they do notice my presence, they know it’s a very jovial one!

Do you only shoot weddings?

I have produced time-lapse videos for many kinds of large and small events and social occasions, as well as music videos and commercial work.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have a miscellaneous commission or an idea to discuss.
